OMBRE SHADING

Ombré shading is the newest and trendiest eyebrow technique that gives a “make-up look” effect. This microblading technique looks like a pencil shaded brow which is very natural giving depth and definition to the brows. The process is similar to microblading but instead of drawing individual hair strokes, we use a manual hand tool with very small needles to create the effect. MICRO + SHADING

Microblading and Micro shading is a technique which is a combination of both microblading and shading for a desired subtle or bold eyebrow. The process is very similar to both of the other eyebrow techniques, but the individual hair strokes in microblading and powder effect of shading giving the individual the best of both techniques. Providing a more airbrushed and powered brow look, you no longer have to spend time everyday filling in your eyebrows!

What is Microblading?

Microblading is the artistic technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a microblading tool. This process is less invasive than eyebrow tattooing and is considered semi-permanent. Unlike a traditional tattoo, which uses a machine, microblading artists hand draw each individual hair to match the color and thickness of your eyebrows. So what is the result? Gorgeous, natural looking eyebrows.

How long does microblading take?

For the first Microblading session, the entire procedure should take about 2.5 hours. During this session, the artist will shape and style the client’s brows for client approval. Then, most of the time will be for the numbing cream to settle in and mixing a pigment to match the skin and hair color. Once the client is satisfied with the choices, we begin the procedure.

When should I get a touch up?

6-8 weeks after the initial microblading session, the client will come back for a retouch session. This appointment will touch up the shape and color of the eyebrows and takes an hour to complete. After the first appointment and first touch up appointment, your eyebrows will last for 1-3 years!

Are touch-ups necessary?

Yes! A touch up session after 6-8 weeks is necessary since everyone heals differently and outcome will vary from each individual. Certain areas may not pick up pigment during the first session and will need to be touched up at this session. Pigment color may need to be adjusted and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, we refine your brows at the touch up appointment to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the next 1-3 years!

BROW CARE & MAINTENANCE

How long does it take for microblading to heal?

During the first 7 days of having your freshly microbladed brows, you need to avoid getting them wet, working out, or wearing brow makeup. It takes about 15-20 days to heal completely and you may experience mild scabbing.

What is the aftercare instructions?

It is very important to stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid chemicals, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure as they can cause the color to fade. How long does microblading last?

Microblading eyebrows last 1-3 years for most, but permanent lip tattoo and eyeliner lasts 3-5 years. Once your permanent makeup is faded, you can have a touch up done to retouch the color and shape!

Can I get a touch up sooner than 4 weeks?

No! touch up sessions earlier than 4 weeks are not recommended because pigment from the initial session has not fully settled into the skin yet. Touch-up sessions are 6-8 weeks after the initial session to prevent scar damage as the tissue needs to completely heal.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, appointments are necessary as microblading takes 2-2.5 hours to complete and we want to reserve a spot for your appointment. Our evening and weekend appointments are the most popular and can sometimes book out weeks ahead. Please contact us in advance to arrange a time that suits you!

Am I able to wear makeup?

Yes, you can wear makeup on your face as long as it is not on or near the brow area. However, if you happen to have makeup on the brow area, it is not a problem as the artist will remove the makeup before starting the microblading appointment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Does getting microblading hurt?

Most clients feel little to no pain. Before your eyebrows are microblading, we apply a topical anesthetic that takes 30-40 minutes to set in. This step numbs the area for minimal pain during the microblading service.

Who is not suitable for microblading?

The following candidates are not suited for microblading:

*It is very important to let your artist know if any of the following apply to you!

Using Accutane or acne medication
Have heart conditions or using heart medications
Have diabetes (will require a physician’s note)
Have skin disease or irritations
Have had Botox in the last 2 weeks
Have gotten a deep tan or chemical peels in the last 2 weeks
Allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine
Anyone who has any serious medical conditions may require a physician’s note.
Pregnant or nursing clients who want to microblade can be done at your own discretion. We suggest discussing with your doctor first. Microblading is still considered a tattoo, and just like with wine or sushi consumption, it is a personal choice to do so during this period.
Going on a vacation where you will be exposed to the sun and water (swimming, saunas, and more) it is best to have microblading done after!

Refund policy

Like all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure, and compare the work of different artists when making their decisions. Our technicians will do their best to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction before starting the microblading. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance, pigment discoloration and color correction is normal and can be fixed during the touch up session. Note that microbladed brows will eventually fade away if no additional touch-ups are done. Therefore, the result of any cosmetic procedure including permanent makeup cannot be guaranteed, and if a client is not satisfied, no refund can be given.
